Role Summary
We are looking for a Sr Games Analyst to join a data-focused product team and help shape how we understand player behaviour, retention, monetisation, and game performance across a portfolio of mobile games. In this role, you will partner with designers, product managers, and engineers to uncover insights, guide decisions, support experimentation, and build the analytical foundation that powers game strategy.
Responsibilities
- Analyse player engagement, retention, monetisation metrics, and progression across multiple mobile titles.
- Plan, define, and evaluate A/B tests; support experimentation-led
product development and managing the testing roadmap.
- Build, automate, and maintain dashboards and reports that track performance, feature impact, and key game KPIs.
- Evaluate the impact of new features, game changes, and live ops decisions across the broader game portfolio.
- Support the definition and implementation of tracking events, collaborating with product and engineering teams.
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations based on quantitative insights.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, product managers, and game designers.
- Stay current with industry trends and share best practices around game analytics, monetisation, and design.
Must-Have Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or game analytics, ideally within mobile free-to-play products.
- Strong experience building metrics and visualisations using BI tools such as Looker, Metabase, or Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with mobile analytics or attribution tools (e.g., Amplitude, Firebase, Adjust).
- Solid understanding of A/B testing, experimentation methods, and interpreting experiment results.
- Ability to work independently and communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of game development lifecycles and collaboration workflows across design, product, and engineering.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience with ad revenue analytics and in-app purchase-based monetisation models.
- Experience supporting tracking implementation across multiple tools or pipelines.
- Background working on hybrid-casual or hypercasual mobile games.
- Knowledge of SQL modelling best practices or data engineering basics.
